Shipping & Delivery
Last updated:
This page explains how a Nest Made order travels from our shop to your door: how long we take to prepare it, where we deliver, what delivery costs (nothing), how tracking works and what to do if a parcel is slow, missing or arrives damaged. It applies to every order placed on nestmade.shop. If you are planning around a baby shower, a due date or a coming-home day, the timing section below is the one to read first. Questions are always welcome at support@nestmade.shop, and we reply within 24 hours on business days.

1. How long it takes, step by step
Every Nest Made piece carries a name, a date or a few details that you give us, so each order is prepared individually after it is placed. The total time to your door has two parts.
Part one: preparing your order (1-3 business days)
Once your order is confirmed, we read the details you typed in the Order notes box at checkout, prepare your sign, blanket or keepsake, pack it and hand it to the carrier. This takes 1-3 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays in the United States. An order placed on a Saturday evening, for example, starts its preparation on Monday.
We do not send a proof or a mockup before preparing your order, which is one reason preparation is quick. It also means the details in your order notes are exactly what we follow, so please read them twice before you pay.
Part two: transit (7-14 business days)
After the parcel leaves us, the carrier usually needs 7-14 business days to deliver it to an address in the United States, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Most parcels arrive within that window; remote and rural addresses, island deliveries and busy holiday weeks tend to sit toward the longer end.
Putting the two together
Add both parts to estimate your delivery: roughly 8 to 17 business days from the day you order. In calendar terms, that is often around two to three and a half weeks, depending on weekends and holidays in between.
| Destination | Shipping method | Cost | Preparation | Transit | Estimated total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Free shipping | $0.00 | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| Canada | Free shipping | $0.00 | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| Australia | Free shipping | $0.00 | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
| New Zealand | Free shipping | $0.00 | 1-3 business days | 7-14 business days | 8-17 business days |
These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Carriers sometimes run late during storms, peak seasons or local disruptions, and those delays are outside our control. We will always tell you honestly where your parcel is when you ask.
2. Planning around a baby shower or due date
Many of our orders are gifts with a date attached. A little planning makes the day much calmer.
- Count back about three and a half weeks from the shower or party date and try to order before then. For example, for a shower on the 20th of a month, ordering around the end of the previous month gives comfortable room.
- If the date is close, consider giving a card on the day that says the personalized piece is on its way. Parents rarely mind, and a blanket that arrives a week after the shower is still used for years.
- If the name is still a secret, you can order after the birth announcement. Birth keepsakes in particular are best ordered once the date, time, weight and length are known, so every detail is correct.
- Shipping straight to the parents is fine: enter their address as the shipping address and add a short gift line in the order notes if you would like one mentioned.
We cannot offer express or overnight shipping at the moment. The free method in the table above is the only option at checkout.
3. Where we deliver
We currently deliver to four countries: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Every order ships from the USA. If you enter an address outside these four countries, checkout will not offer a shipping method and the order cannot be placed. If you live elsewhere and would like to send a gift, you are welcome to ship it to a friend or relative in one of our delivery countries.
Within those countries we deliver to residential and business addresses. Some carriers cannot deliver to every post office box, military address or remote location; if your address is unusual, email us before ordering and we will tell you what we can do.
4. Shipping cost: always free
Shipping is free on every order to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. There is no minimum order value, no coupon to enter and no surcharge for a second item. The price you see on the product page plus $0.00 shipping is what checkout shows before you pay.
We do not collect sales tax at checkout. For deliveries to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, see section 9 about import charges.
5. Tracking your parcel
When your parcel leaves us, we email you a shipping confirmation with a tracking number and a link to follow it. The first tracking scan can take a day or two to appear after the label is created, so a tracking page that says “label created” on day one is normal.
You can also look up your order on our Order Tracking page with your order number and the email address you used at checkout. If you cannot find the shipping email, check your spam or promotions folder before writing to us. If it still has not appeared once the 1-3 business days of preparation have passed, email us and we will send the tracking details again.
6. Getting the address right
A personalized order cannot easily be sold to someone else, so a parcel that goes astray because of an address mistake is especially disappointing. Before you pay, please check:
- the recipient’s full name as it appears on their mailbox or door;
- the street number, street name and any apartment, unit or suite number;
- the city, state or province and the ZIP or postal code;
- the country, especially when sending a gift abroad.
Spotted a mistake? Email us within 24 hours of placing the order and we will correct it at no cost; see our Cancel or Change an Order page for how it works. After the parcel has left us, we can ask the carrier whether a redirect is possible, but carriers do not always allow it. If a parcel comes back to us because of an incomplete or incorrect address, contact us and we will work out the next step with you.
7. Moving house, travelling or away when it arrives
New parents move more often than you might think, and many families travel to grandparents around the birth. If you know you will not be at the delivery address during the expected window, consider shipping to a trusted relative or a workplace instead. If you move after ordering, email us straight away with your order number and new address. If the parcel has not yet shipped and you write within 24 hours, we simply update the address.
8. Parcels that are late, lost or marked delivered but not found
Most delays resolve on their own within a few days. If your parcel seems stuck, here is what we suggest:
- Check the tracking page for notices such as “held at depot”, “address issue” or “awaiting collection”.
- If tracking says delivered but you cannot find the parcel, look around the entrance, with neighbours, building reception or the mailroom, and at your local post office.
- Email support@nestmade.shop with your order number and what tracking shows. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
We will contact the carrier, look into what happened and agree a solution with you. The exact timelines for raising a lost-parcel claim are being finalised, so please simply contact us as soon as you are worried and we will help you through it.
9. Import charges for Canada, Australia and New Zealand
Orders ship from the USA. When a parcel crosses a border, the destination country may apply import duties, taxes or handling fees depending on its own rules and the value of the order. Whether any charge applies, and how much it is, depends on the destination country. If you are sending a gift abroad and want to avoid surprises for the recipient, email us before ordering and we will share what we know about that destination.
10. If something arrives damaged
Every order is packed to travel safely, but parcels do sometimes take a knock on the way. If your order arrives damaged:
- keep the box and packaging for now;
- take clear photos of the outer box, the shipping label and the damage;
- email the photos with your order number to support@nestmade.shop.
We will reply within 24 hours on business days and work out a fair solution with you. Our Returns & Exchanges Policy explains the return process, and our Refund Policy explains how and when money comes back to you.
11. Orders with more than one item
Items in one order usually travel together in the same parcel. Occasionally a large sign and a soft blanket travel in separate parcels so that neither is squashed. If that happens, you receive a tracking number for each parcel, and you never pay anything extra for the split.
12. When your parcel arrives
Open the parcel somewhere clean and flat, away from little hands, and check each item against your order confirmation before you throw away any packaging. For signs and letters, look at the edges and the finish; for blankets, unfold them fully and look over both sides. Compare the name and any dates with what you wrote in your order notes. If anything does not match your notes, or if something looks wrong, email us within a day or two while the details are fresh, with photos, and we will sort it out together. Keep small packing pieces, ties and bags away from babies and toddlers, and recycle them once you are happy with your order.
13. Questions about delivery
We are an email-only shop, which means every question gets a written answer you can refer back to. Write to support@nestmade.shop or use our Submit a Ticket page, and include your order number. The Help Center and FAQs answer the most common questions too.
