\nThis Intellectual Property Policy explains what belongs to Nest Made, what belongs to others, how we try to avoid using anyone else’s work without permission, and how to report a concern about trademarks, designs, copyright or other rights on nestmade.shop. It sits alongside our DMCA page, which sets out the formal procedure for copyright notices under United States law. Questions and reports go to support@nestmade.shop with the subject “IP report”; we reply within 24 hours on business days.
\nUnless stated otherwise, the following are owned by Nest Made or used by us under licence:
\nFonts used in our designs and on the website remain the property of their designers and are used under their licences.
\nTo ask for permission, email support@nestmade.shop with a description of what you would like to use and how. We reply within 24 hours on business days. Permission is only valid if given in writing by us.
\nWe aim to sell only designs and use only content that we have created or have the right to use. In practice this means:
\nIf we get something wrong, we want to know about it and put it right quickly. Section 5 explains how to report a concern.
\nOur pieces are personalized with names, dates and short lines that customers write in the Order notes box at checkout. Sometimes a request includes something we cannot make, for example a cartoon character’s name styled like its film logo, a sports team crest or a brand slogan. We decline those requests because they would use another owner’s trademark or copyright without permission. If we cannot make a request, we email the customer to suggest an alternative or refund that item in full. A baby’s name that happens to match a brand or character name is, of course, simply a name, and we prepare it in our own lettering like any other.
\nCustomers confirm in our Terms of Service that they have the right to use any photo or text they send us. Photos sent for personalization are used only for that order and deleted 30 days after delivery.

\nWe acknowledge every report within 24 hours on business days. We then review it against our records, for example the origin of a design, our licences and when content was created. Where a report is complete and shows a likely infringement, we remove the content or stop offering the product promptly. Where a report is unclear, we ask for the missing information. Where we believe our use is lawful, for example because the content is our own original work or properly licensed, we explain that and, where appropriate, share supporting information. We keep a record of reports and our actions.
\nIf a product is withdrawn because of a report, customers with open orders for it are contacted and offered an alternative or a full refund. Customers who already received the product are not asked to return it because of the report.
\nThank you for telling us. Send us the link and, if possible, a screenshot. Other shops copying our descriptions or photos can confuse customers into thinking they are buying from us. Please note that Nest Made sells only through nestmade.shop; we do not sell through marketplaces or social media shops. If you have bought something elsewhere believing it was from Nest Made, email us and we will tell you whether it was.
\nOur only website is nestmade.shop, and our only support email address is support@nestmade.shop. If you receive an email, message or advertisement claiming to be from Nest Made that uses a different address or website, please do not enter payment details. Forward it to us so we can investigate and warn other customers.
\nWe ask that reports are made honestly and only where there is a genuine concern. Reports that are knowingly false can cause real harm to small businesses and may create legal liability for the person who sends them. If you are unsure whether a use infringes your rights, an informal question is always welcome before a formal report.
\nA parent posts a photo of the finished nursery, with our round name sign above the crib, on their personal account and tags the room “nursery reveal”. That is a welcome personal use. No permission is needed, and we will not repost it without asking.
\nA parenting blogger wants to include one of our product photos in a gift guide with a link to our shop. Because the photo is our content, the blogger emails us first; we reply with permission in writing and ask that the image links back to the product page. A one-sentence quote from our description with a link needs no permission.
\nA customer spots our knit blanket description, word for word, on another shop’s listing and sends us the link. We thank them, record the details and contact the other shop to ask that the copied text is removed. Our customers know that Nest Made only sells through nestmade.shop.
\nA customer asks for a blanket with a cartoon character’s name in that film’s logo style. We email to explain that we cannot reproduce the logo style, and offer to set the baby’s chosen name in one of our own lettering styles instead, or to refund that item in full.
\nSome elements of our work are used under licence, mainly typefaces and any decorative elements we do not draw ourselves. We keep records of the licences that apply and check that new designs stay within their terms, for example whether a font licence covers use on physical products. If you are a licensor and have a question about how your work is used by Nest Made, we will answer it openly.
\nPeople sometimes ask whether a baby’s name can belong to someone. Ordinary first and middle names cannot be owned, and we will happily prepare any name you choose, spelled exactly as you write it in the order notes. What we avoid is copying the distinctive way a brand presents a name, such as a film title logo, a team wordmark or a trademarked slogan. Our lettering is our own or licensed for our use, so the same name in our design does not borrow anyone else’s identity.
